Research and reality show us that women and girls across the world are often left on the margins of society and denied opportunity when it comes to sport and education.
Even in places with progressive ideals and agendas around equality, we do not always build a strong enough bridge to get women and girls fully and equally involved, and this means that they miss out and feel isolated in their communities.

Our purpose is to use sport and education as tools to empower, connect, and unify women and girls from all cultures and social backgrounds.
Creating Opportunities
Girl Power creates the opportunity for people from different backgrounds and divided communities to see and get to know each other through sport, the original and best place to build team work and relationships.
Empowering Social Leaders
Through a combination of events and our Leadership Academy, Girl Power focuses on identifying, empowering and facilitating young leaders and role models who can take the initiative and use sport as a tool for social good in their own communities, both through local events and positive storytelling about ethnic minority women.
Shifting Old Mindsets
Girl Power aims to change out of date thinking which says that sport shouldn't be gender equal. We tackle this mindset shift by role-modelling an alternative way that really works. By providing opportunities and platforms for diverse female role-models and young leaders in sport and education, we create and grow new perspectives for younger generations observing.

In addition to our Base Programme, every year at the Girl Power International Leadership Academy we offer our young women a very special five-day residential academy experience in Denmark.
30 young leaders and coaches from across our programmes gather together with experts in their fields to explore the theories and practices of leadership, communication, self-development planning, discipline, inclusive coaching theories & good practices and safeguarding principles.
At the end of the programme, the coaches are encouraged to recruit a team of 20 – 30 girls age 8 -10 years old and start the Girl Power training programme in their region. This brings the Girl Power ecosystem full circle again, and ensures a sustainable model for the future.
