Khalida Popal the Founder and Director of Girl Power received the Fare Network Pioneer Award 2019 on the celebration of Fare 20 years anniversary. The awards were given to the people dedicated their career and lives for empowering the social aspect of the Game. Amongst the other legends, Yaya Toure also received the award. The anniversary took place in the city of London where the Fare Network is based.

Khalida Popal founder and Director of Girl Power received the Leaders U40 Class 2019 Award.

The mission of the Leaders Sports Awards is to identify and recognise exceptional individuals who are moving the sports industry forward.



UK CHICHESTER


Khalida Popal Successfully Graduated from Women's Sports Leadership Academy (WSLA) a week-long residential academy hosted at the University of Chichester. A week-long leadership academy combined the essential elements for self-critical learning and development, the unique learning environment included high-profile guest speakers, workshops, personal development planning, national and international support groups, as well as physical activities.



GERMANY HAMBURG

Girl Power Leadership & inclusion workshop took place in Hamburg, Germany and the workshop led by our instructor Shabnam Ruhin. The topics discussed at the workshop were around the inclusion & challenges of the ethnic minority women in football, lack of female leaders in the game, solutions, and best practices discussed as a case study. The participants of the workshop were people from other non-profits organisations, football federation, and university students.
